Arguably the hardest mountain bike race in the Dolomites, the Sellaronda Hero is reserved for those with a hero hidden inside them. A hero on a mountain bike, who covers kilometre after kilometre, infinite ascents and thousands of metres difference in altitude.
This heroic competition offers two different routes: the first, 85 km with 4,500 metres difference in altitude and the second with a distance of 60 km and 3,400 metres difference in altitude, both around the Sella Massif. The race starts from Selva in Val Gardena and then winds through beautiful, but demanding passes around the Sella, and also enters Alta Badia via the Gardena and Campolongo passes.
Participants include not only professional cyclists, but also amateurs and sports clubs. In addition, the day before, the Hero Kids
also gives children the chance to take part in this race, obviously with a suitable route for them.
