Ideas for outdoor summer fun at Movimënt in the heart of Alta Badia, that can only be reached by ski-lifts. A park made for keen cyclists, it grants access to the legendary Sellaronda tour, boasts dozens of kilometres of dirt track, a brand new pump track ideal for both training and fun, plenty of MTBs and e-MTBs for hire and lots more besides.

It's not just about skiing and winter sports, Movimënt, in the uplands 2000m above sea level, in the heart of Alta Badia, is getting ready for a new summer season aimed at all lovers of the mountain landscape, sports fans and families alike.
If you're in search of a relaxing oasis far from the chaos of the city, we're waiting for you with a totally car-free park that can be reached by the ski-lifts that are open again from 17 June to 24 September. Here you can have fun, recharge your batteries among the wonders of nature and treat yourself to the gourmet dishes served by the mountain refuges working with the best starred chefs this area has to offer.

Explore the Dolomites on a cycle or mountain bike, events to enjoy and the brand new pump track.

You can explore the mountains on two wheels taking part in the major events of this summer, from the Dolomites Bike Day, 18 June, to the Sellaronda Bike Day, 25 June, and the challenging Dolomite Marathon, 2 July.
Mountain bike enthusiasts can't possibly miss the chance to hone their skills on the dirt tracks with the Dolomites towering over them and taste the thrills of the new pump track at Piz Sorega, new for summer 2017, adding to the wooden track in Piz La Ila, ideal for children and grown-ups.
We have had input from Australian free-riders for a trail that can be travelled on a mountain bike, e-bike and even on skates and a skateboard, with strategically placed humps all along the trail making it easy to pick up speed. This new extended circuit is ideal for cycling fans seeking thrills and excitement and an entertaining training exercise for downhill racing.

The Sellaronda MTB Tour and Movimënt Bike Tours

Movimënt is also the ideal starting point for putting yourself to the test on the legendary Sellaronda MBT Tour, either on a classic mountain bike or a latest-generation e-bike.
All over Movimënt there are opportunities to hire the latest design bright orange E-MTBs from the top brand Trek and to recharge them free along the trails at the recharge stations.
You can choose between the 58km clockwise trail with a 330m gradient and the more challenging anticlockwise trail covering almost the same distance, as the crow flies, of 56km, but with a gradient of more than 1,020m. On these trails, which you can follow independently or with an expert guide, you will travel around the majestic Dolomite peaks, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and around the Sella Group, on a number of single trails, footpaths and woodland tracks.
If you prefer a less demanding experience, you can take one of the Movimënt Bike Tours, three guided tours that run every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday, to explore Alta Badia at an altitude of 2,000m in the saddle of a mountain bike or an e-mountain bike. As you pedal along you will drink in the stunning views of a landscape just waiting for you to explore.

Not just sport. Movimënt Happiness Day

The summer also makes room for some dates and events dedicated to wellbeing, the chance to immerse yourself in the bounty of Mother Nature and to spend precious time with family and friends. The two Movimënt Happiness Days are a perfect example when visitors will be given a true mountain welcome with shows, music, sports and gastronomy. These days take their name from the saying that the lifts that whisk you up to the high plateau are "the fastest way to happiness"!

Movimënt gets even more dog-friendly

From this summer on, the Movimënt park will be even more dog-friendly. Dogs can travel free on the ski-lifts and use all the mountain facilities designed for our four-legged friends. There are dog bars, refreshing tubs and dog toilettes all long the footpaths and they are welcome at such dog-friendly refuges as Pralongià, Biok, I Tablà and Boconara.

How to get up high

Head for the heights with the special passes Alta Badia Summer pass or the Dolomiti Supersummer Card.
The first enables adults and children to use the 15 summer lifts in the area and the local buses, with bike transport included. The second one is the summer version of the Dolomiti Superski pass and gives you access to some 90 ski-lifts all over the Dolomites.
We can't wait to see you for a thrill-packed summer of sport, natural beauty and wellbeing.
