MOVIMËNT SUMMER 2019

Once again, summer 2019 means new arrivals on the Movimënt plateau in the heart of Alta Badia. Kids, parents, sports lovers, nature lovers and those who simply want to relax should prepare for an unforgettable summer full of pure fun and wellbeing.
On 15 June, the Movimënt parks will reopen, and this year the whole family's wellbeing is at the heart of it all. Between sports, games, relaxation and plenty of fun, the summer days will be packed with unparalleled emotions. As the Dolomites, which surround the Movimënt parks, are so unique, 2019 marks their tenth anniversary as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Every glance at the peaks of these mountains will truly be a unique spectacle.
At 2000m high, far from the hustle and bustle of the city, Movimënt is ideal for anyone looking to get in touch with nature surrounded by their friends and family. A different activity for every day. It starts on Monday, with Geocaching, all the way through to Sunday, with a guided e-mountain biking tour. The week is packed with a mountain of emotions between orienteering, water games, and relaxation areas with pools, where you can soak your feet after those long excursions.
For the little ones, we have a world made to measure. Climbing walls so they can take their first vertical steps, a mini golf course dedicated to bears with a real-life cave next to it, a giant inflatable ball so they can jump all the up to the sky, and much more besides.

News for Bike Beats trails

The "Bike Beats", the downhill "flow" courses designed for bikes made from earth and hard-packed sand, all fast and zippy, with small obstacles, feature three new dirt tracks this summer. In fact, the green entry-level trail and the two trails for more experienced bikers, the intermediate blue and more difficult and technical red trails, will be linked together by new tracks. This will create numerous variants which will lengthen the trails, increasing the number of banked curves, jumps, bridges and bikewalls available to train on and have fun with. Before launching yourself downhill, we recommend warming up a little on the pumptrack circuit at the top of the Piz Sorega gondola lift, which allows you to train your muscles and improve your coordination and balance.
Meanwhile, by taking the chairlift up to Pralongià, you can experience a brand-new track, a medium-easy trail which finishes at Passo Campolongo and Corvara.

New lake at Piz La Ila

For the second new arrival, we turn to Piz La Villa: near the lake with the waterfall - much-loved by children - there will be a second lake of the same size, dedicated to relaxation, reading, and seeking out that perfect tan as you relax between one activity and the next. A place to soak your feet in the cool water and immediately feel the thrill of wellness rush through every muscle in the body. Silence, stillness, the breeze caressing the mirrored surface of the lake: paradise.

MAIN EVENTS

Rookies Cup 2019

Summer 2019 will have no shortage of events dedicated to sports lovers and families alike. Don't miss the Rookies Cup in San Cassiano on 13 and 14 July. After the success of the first edition, which saw athletes from 9 different countries take part, we return to Piz Sorega to admire the performances of the under-19 Downhill racers. This year, a surprise for the little ones: in addition to the main race, there will also be an exciting special event for 5-12-year-old riders. An occasion to break into the world of biking and downhill racing

Movimënt Day

Meanwhile, there will be an incredible four dates with Movimënt Day: 28 July, 4, 14 and 25 August - in other words three Sundays and one Ferragosto eve - when we will go up to Piz La Villa and Piz Sorega for some family fun, welcomed by entertainers, street performers, magicians, live music, games and fun. In particular, on 28 July there will also be some of the finest slackliners around, ready to give us a show suspended in mid-air, sometimes many metres off the ground, above the Boe lake.
Two more Sundays, 21 July and 18 August, will be devoted to one of the now historical events of Movimënt: the Mini Olympics for children of 5 years and up and families, with sports, fun competitions and an exciting final awards ceremony.
The Movimënt parks are easily accessible with the ski lifts from the main villages in Alta Badia.
From Corvara with the Col Alto and Boè gondola lifts, from the Campolongo pass with the Pralongià chairlift, from La Villa with the Piz La Ila gondola lift, from San Cassiano with the Piz Sorega gondola lift.
From 15 June to 29 September, immerse yourself in the heart of Alta Badia: Movimënt, you can't try this at home!
