HERO Südtirol Dolomites
Since 2010, the HERO Südtirol Dolomites has been the world's toughest mountain bike marathon, in which thousands of enthusiasts take part every year, dreaming of crossing the coveted finish line and thus becoming real heroes.
This unique race has three routes: the 'short' route has 60 km and 3,200 hm. The 'medium' one (new from June 2024) has 71 km and 4,100 hm. And finally the 'long' one with its 86 km and 4,500 hm.
The marathon starts in Selva Val Gardena and then winds its way over the beautiful and challenging passes around the Sella massif, also passing through Alta Badia on the Bike Beats Trails, via the Gardena and Campolongo passes.
Participants are professional cyclists but also amateurs and sports clubs. In addition, on the previous day, the HERO Kids will feature children between the ages of 4 and 12: little champions, who dream of becoming big heroes.
